The expanded title explains: "Being some account of the steamship Quaker City's Pleasure excursion to Europe and the Holy Land; with descriptions of countries, nations, incidents and adventures, as they appeared to the Author. With Two hundred and thirty-four illustrations." The binding measures 6" x 9" with beveled boards and gilded pictorial titling. The text consumes 651 pages followed by 5 more of advertising. Condition:Sound book in good antique condition. Binding chipped and worn at the spine-ends, rubbed at corners. Front brown endpaper with creases, hinges a little weak but not started. Tissue overlay protecting double-frontispiece yellowed. Text unmarked save initials on a front endpaper. Other minor faults like scattered foxing and handling but this remains a very collectible example.
